Full disclosure, I am not a sports fan. However, I always route for the Saints out of love for my home city.
An Animal Lover
I have three pets at home, who I love dearly. The two dogs are lovely, but nothing beats the cat on my lap while I read a book. Speaking of them…
My Babies!
The white fluffy one is Henry. The spooked gray cat is Zelda. The newest one is Fitz, he’s the little black puppy.
My Life!
I was born in Rockville, Maryland, before moving to San Fransisco before I turned one, then settling in New Orleans when I was nine. I have lived there ever since.
I first got my taste for the restaurant industry when I was twelve, working an event for school, and knew then that it was something I wanted to do. I auditioned for the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts for their Culinary Arts Program and was accepted. I was not the best student in my freshmen year, but I started working in the summer. The amount of mistakes I made was too many to count, but I loved it so much that I worked weekends and summers for the rest of high school. It had a positive side effect on my academics as well. The job taught me time management and gave a 15-year-old some much-needed discipline. However, a reality check came in Covid-19, and I realized I needed a backup plan. Enter Skidmore College, where I will graduate next semester.
